Computer shuts off (blue screen, physical) memory dump, when I plug in ethernet cable! Help!?
Hi,
I have a Compaq computer (not sure of the actual model), and it’s running Windows Xp Pro, SP 2.
It’s been shutting itself off for a few days as soon as Windows logs on. It flashes to this blue screen saying Dumping Physical Memory, then shuts off almost immediately.
Tonight when I was trying to figure out what was wrong, I found out that when the Ethernet cable is unplugged, everything is fine.
Does anyone have any idea why the ethernet cable would be immediately forcing my computer to shut down?
